About Me

Shari-Ann Walker is an Attorney-at-Law who currently practices in Barbados. She is a legal technology advocate who is passionate about data protection and privacy law, practice management and other info tech law issues affecting the Caribbean. 

This blog was created to highlight legal technology developments which not only impact our laws but our ever changing legal profession. With a particular focus on the Caribbean region, this space is intended to keep track of rapid technological advancements and its intersectionality with law and how Attorneys-at-Law practice. 

Shari-Ann obtained her Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus and subsequently, her Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School. She has advised and represented clients in a number of areas including employment law, contract law, e-defamation, data protection and privacy law.

Shari-Ann has most recently been a speaker at the Barbados Bar Association’s Law Conference 2019 where she co-presented on the then Barbados Data Protection Bill, 2019. She was then a part of a team that prepared written submissions on behalf of the Barbados Bar Association on the said Data Protection Bill, 2019 to a Joint Select Committee of Parliament in Barbados.
